With Elite Instructors that are registered RECEs with years of experience in large-scale childcare institutions, like YMCA, students will learn everything they need to know to become a registered Early Childcare Assistant.
Early childcare assistants (ECA) plan and arrange activities for preschool and school-age children. Early childhood educators and assistants lead children in activities to encourage and develop their academic, physical and mental/psychological growth. Our unique diploma program especially focuses on health and safety, children’s infancy, toddler and preschool development, interactive and two-way communications, child mental development and guidance, developing educational theories, designing age-reflective curriculum, and program management while working with families where needed.
Upon graduating students will not only receive an ECA Diploma but also a First Aid & CPR Certificate.
Early Childcare Assistants provide care and guidance to pre-school children under the supervision of early childhood educators. ECA’s lead children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical and emotional growth.
Your study permit allows you to legally study in Canada. Make sure you know when your study permit expires. If your study permit is due to expire before you complete your program, you will need to apply for an extension to be able to continue studying in Canada. The best time to submit your request to extend your study permit is two to three months prior to the expiry date of the current one.
For more steps and information on how to extend your study permit and the documents required, view the Extending Your Study Permit Online.pdf guide.
