ACCPAC ERP in Sage Accpac 5.4 Class Overview
The Computerized Accounting Series course- Sage Accpac ERP is designed to teach the basic features of each Accpc modules. For the Foundation Training class we will teach how to enter and post A/P, A/R. G/L transactions, process Bank Reconciliation, the purpose and use of the utility screens, how to use key reports and inquiries, proper period-end procedures and tips to speed data entry. The student will complete hands-on exercises for a simulated company to complete step-by-step tasks using Accpac General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Common Services modules.
ACCPAC ERP 5.4 Course Outcomes:
1. Create and modify account and source codes.
2. Enter the Chart of Accounts.
3. Input, edit and post transactions in the General Ledger.
4. Establish tax tracking and banking services.
5. Set processing options within the Accounts Payable module.
6. Create and maintain vendor files.
7. Create and maintain customer files.
8. Input, edit and post purchase transactions.
9. Input, edit and post adjustment transactions.
10. Input, edit and post payment transactions.
11. Input, edit and post billing transactions.
12. Input, edit and post receipts transactions.
13. Perform bank reconciliations.
ACCPAC ERP 5.4 Class Prerequisites
Experience in the following areas is required:
· General knowledge of Microsoft Windows
· Basic knowledge of accounting principles
· A familiarity with Microsoft Excel is recommended

Each student will receive a set of course notes and all the class examples.
Class Technical Requirements
Each student will guaranteed to have a computer system for your own to be used in the class; our computer lab instructor will support you during the whole course.
Sage Accpac: 10 classes every Thursday night 7-10pm

- 2011 Winter session: starting on the second Thursday of January
- 2011 Spring session: starting on the first Thursday of April
- 2011 Summer session: starting on the first Thursday of July
- 2011 Fall session: starting on the first Thursday of October
